Josie Vreck was a student at Ewen High School.
He and his band played the music during the prom. He may have been one of the many people who laughed at Carrie when the prank was pulled, and was the first to realize that Tommy may have been killed by the bucket falling on his head. During the massacre, Josie shouted to the group of his orchestra to turn off all the electric amplifiers and microphones. But they were in a panic and left the stage without turning them off. Josie than tried to escape, but his foot was clutched by the cables of the microphones. He was electrocuted until his shirt set on fire and burned to death. Tina and Norma were present when he died.
Triva
- His death was similar to Tina Blake’s in the 2013 remake of Carrie.
- He may not have actually laughed at the prank, as Norma said that he and his band also got splattered by the blood, so it would be strange for him to laugh.
