Hey Tyson, I've been wondering this from the second I found out Zoe Belkin would be playing Tina; How did Zoe get the part? Yeah, she's short like her character in the novel is, but she's done nothing in the past to qualify herself to play a ruthless character like Tina Blake. Having said that, Tina actually wasn't as evil in the novel as she was in all 3 films. In the novel, Tina was a reluctant, but willing participant who kinda just wanted to fit in with Chris. But Zoe's Tina was just a snobby bully. And I'm not sure what Kimberly (or whoever decides on casting for movies) saw in Zoe to make them say "she's our Tina".
And for that matter, why do you think that they made Tina a background character for the 2013 film? I mean, P.J. Soles and Katharine Isabelle were huge in their films, and in this one, Zoe is really a nothing part. No offense to her, cuz' I enjoyed the 2013 film and every little thing about it. So just tell me your thoughts on this.
I'm not sure. Tina had a big part to me. But she wasn't quite as noticable as like the twins. And IMO in the novel Tina was just as bad. Although Norma in the novel acts more like the Tina in the films. Because in the original script Tina says things "Good LUCK!" And some more of Norma's lines.
But as for why they chose her. I'm not sure :/
After seeing the prom scene, when Chris yells out "Freak, Freak" we see George and if you listen closely he says "What the?" I found it cool, because the others times I just thought he was looking around cause he was like "What is wrong with you people?"
To delete categories? On the Norma Watson (2002) page it says she was an antagonist. She wasn't though. I added she was a survivor, but she wasn't a bully of Carrie in the 2002 film. She didn't laugh at Carrie, she was surprised. However, in the book it was different. But still, is it possible?
Hey Tyson, was Norma involved in the locker room prank in the book? I don't think she was, but then why wouldn't she have been? She was an Ultra, she was a bully of Carrie's, she helped set up the prom prank and I'm sure she showers with the other Ultras. Do you know? BTW, for the Ultras literary page, Chris' clique was not called "Chris and her mortimer snerds". Mortimer Snerds is what she called the outcasts.
No, she was not. It's mentioned who was apart of it and also Norma wasn't mentioned as being at detention. She actually also wasnt an official ultra. I just added her because she may be involved with the prank.
And no the principle refers to the group once as "Chris and her Mortimer Snerds".
Oh, that's odd. And no, Principal Grayle said in the scene where Chris' dad is threatening to sew him; "Twenty of those detentions have been for harassment of misfit pupils, I might add. I understand Chris' clique calls them mortimer snerds. They all find it quite hilarious." I have no idea how to post that page from the book, but go back and read the scene.
Hey Tyson. Here's everything wrong with giving Nicki and Lizzy the last name, Watson. Eventhough they were originally friends and Nicki's last name was Watson, that was just an "original idea". If Nicki's last name was Watson, then what was Lizzy's? We can't just take Nicki's original last name and give it to Lizzy. And come on! How could Nicki and Lizzy just have been friends when they have the same face! That would have been the retarted! So since in the final script, Nicki and Lizzy were decided to be sisters, it's better to keep their last name Wilson because they are the equivalences of the Wilson sisters from the original film and though Nicki was originally meant to be equivalent to Norma, that was deleted in the final draft. It means nothing.
Yes, but at least we got a confirmation. Wilson is just a speculation. And besides they are clearly references to Norma. Until I get the newer script and see if there is last names in it, keep it Watson. Besides at least we get a Norma. And "the Watson twins" sounds cool.
True, but that confirmation means nothing sinse that was just an original idea. Besides, there's nothing wrong with fan speculation. It's actually what keeps wiki's like this running; it's interesting. So I think we should keep it as Wilson because Nicki and Lizzy are equivalent to the Wilson sisters and it makes more sense. In the movie, Nicki did not really have any similarities with Norma. So it's safer to call them what they are truly equivalent to or else everything will look disorganized.
Lets just keep it as Watson for now. I really really don't wanna start a war but its how it should be. Name one source that makes any comment about them being Wilson's and based on those characters. There is none. Watson is in the script. And actually it's never told if their not sisters just isn't mentioned that they are. Keep it as Watson and if I get the newer script and it says Wilson or something ill change it back.
Fine. But you have to agree that Nicki and Lizzy were obviously sisters in the film! I mean come on! How could they not be? They have the same face, same hair, same moments of dialogue and they always do everything together (including holding hands while dying). I'm not at all saying this to you, but to anyone who has to question whether Nicki and Lizzy were sisters or just friends, is seriously, seriously retarted and has the eyes and brain of an ant!!
I know this is none of my concerns, but I agree that it should be Nicki and Lizzy Wilson. I know you listed your reasons Tyson, but Wilson sounds and seems to fit better. They have similarities to Norma. However, Heather has similarities to Norma, and we didn't put her name Heather Watson. It just sounds confusing, however, you are the founder so you can put what you please.
I completely understand you guys. I like Wilson better too. But we only put that out of speculation. There is not once a mentioned name of Wilson. And actually if we're going by the book (I don't mean the actual book) then it should be Thibodeau. Because they clearly went from Norma to Thibodeau. I agree Heather has similarities to Norma but shouldn't be Heather Watson. But that's cuz she's Heather Shyres (the script heavily implies this.) and Nicki was Nicki Watson. If I can get the new script I will look through to try to see what's right.
For me in the 2013 remake, honestly I think he died. I mean, he was near Miss Desjardin when Tina was getting whipped. He didn't have any time to get to the doors (across the room) and escape because Tina obviously got caught on fire and Carrie grabbed Miss Desjardin from the ground, then sending the wires on the floor electrocuting everybody. So he only probably had I would say 1-2 minutes to get to the exit before getting electrocuted. That is my theory, do you think it is possible?
